Up for bid is a tuber of the beautiful Elettaria cardamomum.  These rhizomes produce stems with deep green leaves, and in warm climates the flowers which then lead to the edible spice.  Typically these plants can reach heights of 1 to 2 feet, although taller in tropical climates.  This form is hardy to USDA zone 7b, possibly colder, which is much more cold tolerant than other forms.  These rhizomes can also be easily dug up and brought inside if you live in a colder area, or if you just don’t want to chance losing them in the winter.  These tubers will make a great statement in your garden, and will multiply year after year to make a greater display each year.
