inches. 333 pp. Dark tan cloth hard cover, lacking dust jacket, with dark brown
block reverse-print image of men with cowboy hats on horses, dark brown
lettering to spine and dark brown top stain. Book has a solid binding with bent
spine ends, light rubbing to covers and a quarter-size soil stain to back
cover. Front free end paper has a 1947 gift inscription explaining the signature
by Mary Jester Allen that is on the half-title page. Allen was the daughter of
Helen Cody Wetmore and long-time director of the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody,
Wyoming.
