For a few generations of Irish people, this is one of the most influential books ever published in Ireland, after Bunreacht na hEireann and the Green Catechism. The much-loved Leaving Cert poetry book that for many was their first real introduction to the magical world of poetry. Newer, sanitised, sterile reproductions exist, but this copy, the original, is the best and most authentic.
