Reebok x Prince - Club C / Club C Revenge Collection

Prince x Reebok... a collaboration on Club C and Club C Revenge... so somehow tennis x tennis, but first things first:

Prince is an American tennis sporting goods manufacturer based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company was founded in 1970 by Robert H. McClure of Princeton (hence the name) and manufactures rackets, shoes, clothing and tennis balls. Among the most famous sponsorships were Andre Agassi, Jennifer Capriati, Michael Chang and Maria Sharapova.

The Reebok Club C has enjoyed unbroken popularity in the retro court silhouette segment for several years. In the mid-1980s, it appeared as a slightly modified version of the Reebok Revenge Plus.

One reason for this was probably to better comply with the strict dress codes of tennis. The Club C (short for Club Champion) is perhaps based on this approach at the time also the rather inconspicuous color style of the four-pack. The color accents can only be found on the sole and tongue.

The Reebok x Prince Club C Revenge, on the other hand, takes the accent colors of the Club C and spreads them over the entire upper. One version is completely in turquoise (Semi Pixel Mint) with pink accents (Rose Rage) and the other version is completely tennis ball yellow (Stinger Yellow).

Like the originals from the 4s, all 80 models are equipped with a cuddly terry cloth lining. The Prince logo can be found on the tongue, on one of the insoles, in the small window on the side and shimmering through the icy outsole in large format.
