The kit include a resin cast fast assembly Hispano Suiza MC-36 Armoured Car used by Republican forces during the Spanish Civil War. The kit has 14 parts with optional turrets and windscreen visors and is designed with wargamers in mind. Decals are included for both Republican and Nationalist vehicles.

Hispano Suiza were a Spanish automotive and engineering firm better known for their luxury cars and aircraft engines prior to WWII. They were credited with designing the first ever sports car, the Hispano Suiza 45 Cr.

At the start of the Spanish Civil War in 1936, while the French arm concentrated on aircraft engines, the Spanish arm was producing trucks, armoured vehicle and weapons for the Republicans. The MC-36 was based on the T69 heavy truck chassis with armoured plates added to provide crew protection. The MC-36 was initially designed with a dome turret with a Hotchkiss machine gun but the Nationalist forces fitted T-26 turrets to captured vehicles.   

The Hispano Suiza MC-36 was supplied to Republican forces although a number fell into Nationalist hands and were used against the Republicans. Much of the tank equipment supplied during the Spanish Civil War between 1936 and 1939 came from France, Russia, Italy and Germany with the war sometimes referred to as a "dress rehersal" for WWII.

A superb, if not unusual, kit designed for wargaming but can also be built for display this brand new kit is a classic. Not to be missed.
