To make sure something will fit, take measurements from a piece of clothing that fits you well and use those measurements to compare. If you use your personal actual measurements, you should always figure needing two inches extra for breathing room.

Label- Rain Shedder

Closes with 5 red plastic buttons.

Two side slit bound pockets.

Lightly padded inside shoulder pads.

Fabric is not listed, so it is a hard guess. The red polka dots are machine embroidered onto the top of the fabric. The raised red circles give the fabric a subtle texture.  It is a light blue square edging around a dark navy center. My guess would be rayon, perhaps a rayon blend. It is medium to light weight. I show a photo of the back side of the fabric and you can see it is a black material. The fabric is not stiff or coated.  Fully lined red acetate

Condition
No stains, holes, or tears. This feels very little worn. You can see the very good condition of the lot tag that attests to this. I show photos of the inside lining and the armholes which are very clean. It has its original factory hem and original buttons. I cannot attest to the rain shredder qualities of this coat. It does not feel coated in anything that would make it rain proof.  Some of the up close photos are lightened to show detail.

What Diane Likes About This Coat
The condition on this late 40s/early 50s rain coat is outstanding. There are not a great number of these out there in this condition. It is great for wear and for collectors. It has many sweet details like the under collar lined in red velveteen and the back bow. I think the deep cuffs on the sleeves are very chic. This coat feels both exuberant and refined.
