In surprisingly good condition with only a few visible stains - see photos please, they're quite minimal.

This octagon shape isn't perfect, but I think that speaks to its handmade quality.

I would think the characters are Chinese - I could be wrong.

It's subtle and sophisticated, and a good size.

It isn't terribly stiff(it is somewhat stiff), but not floppy. It lies perfectly flat.

Probably has not been used a whole, given the very good condition.
