Gautrot Aine Double Wall 5-Key Metal Flute VERY RARE

Here is a historic metal double walled five key flute by Gautrot Aine, one of the most important French instrument makers of the 19th century. This instrument is a very rare example of a metal double-walled flute and is in overall good condition.

As this instrument is historically interesting, we have elected to sell in as-found condition and have done no restoration work to it. We leave that to the eventual owner. We expect that it will likely need pad and keywork to be playable.

Provenance: The Nowinski Collection. Jack Nowinski was an instrument repairman and collector who spend his lifetime amassing an impressive collection of interesting instruments. We are happy to offer instruments from his collection for sale.
