British Army 37 Pattern Tunic - WW2 Repro

Description

WW2 reproduction British 37 Pattern Battle Dress Uniform Wool Tunic.

During the 1930s the British War Office tested a number of new uniform variations to replace the previous combined field and dress service uniform. They settled on the Battledress, Serge or 1937 pattern, which was designed with the needs of mechanised infantry in mind. The jacket or blouse was short in the body and constructed from wool serge. It was copied by the US Army where it became known as the Ike jacket, and the Canadian Army also produced its own very similar version.

These jackets have two front button-down pleated chest pockets and two internal pockets as well as a smart collar with hooks. There is an integrated waist belt with a metal slide buckle. The tunics have button-down epaulettes and plastic buttons. There are three buttonholes on the reverse of the waistband for attaching the jacket to the 37 Pattern Trousers.

Fantastic quality battle dress tunics, perfect for a British Army impression.
