In the classroom, she will often say, "Change your banana feet, or else the monkeys are going to eat them!" Her love of teaching young children with humour inspired her to write this book, as did her stepdaughter, niece, and nephews, who were the first children in her life that needed help with their "banana feet." She lives in Tottenham, Ontario, with her family.
