Alisam Engineering         NEW!      P/N: CG-10L.04           $19.99                                          This is an Alisam Engineering reproduction of the South Bend Lathe Co.'s "CHIP GUARD" for the heavy 10 / 10L taper attachment. These, as was the little 'Daubers / Quill Oilers", must have ended up in the trash or didn't quite make the move to the next owner's shop! They are almost never seen in place on the taper attachment. These protect the long, cross slide feed screw from the usual shower of chips when operating the lathe. Which in turn also protects your soft brass/bronze cross slide nut too!  Made, as always, right here in the USA. Laser cut from 18 ga. stainless steel, (original was thinner, mild steel).
