Province: Persian. Dating: Unknown. Made: Made of hand forged steel, hand hammered and hand chisel. Central pane has Sun figure with Rays embossed. Border rim and some part of surface of shield bear an elaborate chiseled engraving with floral and creeper design.4 bosses engraved with bird figures, which make this shield unusual and rare. The reverse of shield has 2handles to hold & cloth padding. Shield measures 17 inches in diameter. This unique shield is hand made, there is no exact copy of this.
