Entfärbtes Glas

BESCHREIBUNG

Prunkvoller Hochzeitsbecher mit Allianzwappen. Entfärbtes, schlieriges Glas mit Schliff und Mattschnitt.
Unterseitig dicke beschliffene Bodenplatte mit Dreieckschliff am Rand. Darüber eine Bogenschliffkante.
Zylinderförmige dicke Wandung, oben und unten mit Zackenbändern.
Mittig zwei Wappenkartuschen mit Familienwappen.
Oben Beschriftung „A.V.R. A.S.V.R. G.V.N.“. Um die beiden Wappenschilde Akanthusranken.

Auf der Hinterseite der fünfzeilige Spruch:
„der vatter und der mutter segen / bringt den kindern ein vergniegtes leben /
Ja zeitliche gütter und himlisch gut / drumb firchte gott tuhe Recht / unnd sei darbey nor wohl gemutt“.

ABMESSUNGEN

Höhe:  12,3 cm; Durchmesser Lippe: 11,7 cm; Durchmesser Fuß: 9,5 cm

ZUSTAND

Sehr gute Erhaltung. Keine Chips oder Beschädigungen.
Mit den für handgemachten Glas dieser Zeit üblichen Lufteinschlüssen.
Bodenplatte im Rand berieben und bekratzt.

probably Bohemia, between 1700 and 1725

MATERIAL
Decoloured glass

DESCRIPTION
Magnificent wedding cup with alliance coat of arms. Decoloured, streaky glass with cut and mat cut.
Thick cut base plate with triangular cut rim on the underside. Above it an arched cut edge.
Cylindrical thick wall, with serrated bands at the top and bottom.
Two coat-of-arms cartouches with family crests in the centre.
On top inscription "A.V.R. A.S.V.R. G.V.N.".
Around the two escutcheons acanthus tendrils.

 On the back the five-line inscription:
"the father's and the mother's blessing / brings the children a pleasurable life /
yes temporal goods and heavenly good / so god did right / and be well tempered".

DIMENSIONS
height: 12,3 cm; diameter lip: 11,7 cm; diameter foot: 9,5 cm

CONDITION
Very good condition. No chips or damage.
With the air inclusions usual for handmade glass of this period.
Base plate rubbed and scratched at the rim.
