To make sure something will fit, take measurements from a piece of clothing that fits you well and use those measurements to compare. If you use your personal actual measurements, you should always figure needing extra inches for breathing room.
Label- There is a AFL-CIO union made label. There is a sewn in label at the neck, which I think belonged to the previous owner.
Closes with front clear and gold buttons. Bound buttonholes indicate a quality made garment. A small button and loop at the neck.
Fabric is not listed. It has a short hair nap. It may be a wool and acrylic blend and is medium to thick weight. Fully lined in a soft and fuzzy, medium weight lining. The lining almost feels like a fuzzy blanket. It has the same short nap as the outer coat. The outer coat fabric feels more formal, while the lining fabric is softer and more pliable. The lining may be all acrylic. The sleeves are lined in a satin material.
Two side entry pockets. The pockets are a bit of a fake out. You may think their entrance is from the top flap, but that is not the case. The pocket entrance is from the side.
Condition
No stains, holes, or tears. This coat is clean and in very good condition. I show photos of the armpits. They are clean, but this coat has been previously owned and worn. The armpits have just a little wear. The satin lining is a little less shiny in the armpit area, indicating wear. No bad smells.
What Diane Likes About This Coat
There is quite a bit of sneaky business going on with this coat. At first glance, you see what looks like a fairly tame, conservative, and nicely tailored coat. The buttons are beautiful and add a little gold glimmer. You start to see the quirkiness of the coat with those fake out pockets. But, it is only when you take the coat off and reveal the lining, that you expose the inner fun at the heart of this coat. The lining pattern is so geared towards the fall season. So charming. You can wear this as a little secret and also enjoy the lining reveal. This coat is a metaphor for so many of us. We may look and act one way on the outside, but harbor a completely different side on the inside. If this is something that resonates with you, then this coat may be looking for you.

This coat is heavy, at over 3 pounds. It has some bulk to it when folded. The cheapest rate is a large flat rate box.
