Antique German saltbox with wood swinging lid. White ceramic with blue lettering and dots. Wood lid hinges on 2 nails which may not be original as it also looks like some wood filler there, seems strong. Nice patina to the wood. 6 1/4" tall, 5 1/2" wide, 4" deep. Marked "Made in Germany" on the bottom. One chip on the left back edge, no associated crack with it. Flea bite chips along the bottom edge. Nice blue vivid color.
