Kurt Cobain and his Nirvana bandmates emerged as generational and brilliant artists in the early '90s.
The sound's combination of harsh, heavy tones, punk-inspired energy, and melodic catchiness quickly attracted millions of fans and propelled grunge and alternative rock into the mainstream music scene. A miracle happened.
Kurt has played many FENDER guitars over the years, but his Jaguar(R) and MUSTANG(R) guitars, used on the Nevermind tour and in the Smells Like Teen Spirit music video, are among the most iconic. I did. Kurt combined his favorite elements from these two instruments to design the Jag-Stang(R), which he brought to life in 1993 with the help of the FENDER Custom Shop.
