Incredibly rare and beautiful 2002-2003 Manchester United FC Third soccer jersey with star and club legend Cristiano Ronaldo (Number 7) on the back. This beautiful blue change kit has subtle silver highlights on the side panels and the Vodafone sponsor is in silver as well.

2002-2003 was a glorious season for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men. They won the Premier League in stunning fashion, coming back from an 8-point deficit to Arsenal in March. Ruud van Nistelrooy won the Golden Boot with 25 Premier League goals in 34 matches. He scored a blistering 44 goals in all competitions. Their star-studded squad also featured David Beckham (his last season at United), Scholes, Giggs, the Neville brothers, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, and Roy Keane.

On August 12, 2003 Ferguson signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Sporting CP for a transfer fee of £12.24 million; making him the most expensive teenager in English football history and the first Portuguese player in United history. Expectations for the wonderkid were raised further when Ronaldo was immediately given the famous #7 shirt that was worn by the likes of Beckham, Eric Cantona and George Best. United finished third in the PL but won the FA Cup after knocking out Arsenal (“the Invincibles”) in the semifinals. 

In his first season in England, Ronaldo’s most important contribution came in the FA Cup Final when he scored the opener against Millwall in a resounding 3-0 victory. Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time – 5 UEFA Champions League successes, 30 major trophies, 5 Ballons d’Or, over 700 career goals, victory at the 2016 Euros, and countless records set – this shirt is where his career at the highest level kicked off.

The shirt is a size Large. It measures 21.9 inches pit-to-pit and 30.5 inches in total length.

The shirt is in good condition bar slight staining and cracking to the sponsor, some minor bobbling, and colour bleeding onto the lettering of the nameset. The sizing information has also faded. Additional pics available upon request.
