A fancy long embroidered and woven Kashmir fine wool antique paisley shawl dating to the early 19thc., with complex extravagant design elements and elongated complex botehs on a densely patterned ground and a black centered area. This paisley shawl is hand made and skillfully hand embroidered. This elegant 1850s paisley shawl breathes with vibrancy of old color dyes, with paisley shapes flowing into sinuous elongated scrolls. Half moon shapes in each of the four corners.

This paisley shawl measures 135" x 54-1/2".
CONDITION:
Shawl is in good condition, unwashed, with no fading, no odors, some badly done repairs in black center, that have been repaired with black thread, an easy fix to take the threads out and repair properly. When held up to the light of a window I do see few holes. Some missing fringes at fringe gates.
This piece is well preserved and worthy of collecting.
