ITEM DESCRIPTION Vintage Rappaport Stratosphere hard side suitcase. c. late 40's, early 50's. Lined and has internal pockets on the inside of the lid and the sides of the bottom. Internal ties to help keep your clothing in place inside of the suitcase. Great pinstripe design with metal corner caps. Leather handle. It measures 21.5" L x 15.5" W x 7" D All measurements include the handle and the feet on the bottom. CONDITION Previously owned and used. They were a favorite. The case has some wear to the outside from use like marks and scuffing. The edging has some chipping. All of the latches work but may stick a little. The leather handle has wear as does the edge lining round the ends of the cases. The lining inside the case is intact but does have some staining in a few spots. The elastic that pulls the tops of the pocket sections in is old and has lost or is losing its elasticity. One of the metal corners is missing a nail that holds it on, it is still intact to the case. It was used for storage of some old dolls and the words that were on the tape have transferred to the case. It needs a good cleaning. OTHER INFORMATION Please email any questions you might have!
