ARTIST: Anders Hune is a well-listed Danish artist, whose works have been offered at auctions multiple times, and who has been an exhibitor at the famous Charlottenborg. He named himself “Hune” after an area in North-Western Jutland, which was of special significance to him. His paintings vary between expressionism and impressionism to the abstract, but his favorite scenes are often working farmers and fishermen. Today there’s a museum with a collection of his paintings in Svenstrup, Jutland.

PAINTING: Oil on canvas. The painting is a typical scene with a farmer tending to his cows and with farmhouses and a windmill in the background. I’ll date the painting to somewhere between 1950-1968. Signed: “Anders Hune” in the lower left corner. Next to the signature is, what might be the production year, but I simply can’t make that out.

SIZE: With frame: 109,5 cm/43.1" * 78,5 cm/30.9". Without frame: 94 cm/37" * 63 cm/24.8".

CONDITION: The painting is in great ready-to-hang condition - no holes, tears or missing paint. It does have some craquelure though. The frame has minor scratches and stains.
