Here is a bit of honesty for you. I hope you can appreciate it, as honesty is hard to come by these days.

The coins and sets I sell are sold AS IS with no guarantees. The only thing I guarantee is that you will get the exact coin or coin set in the picture. If you feel that you have been wronged, then shoot me an email, and we will come to an agreement. With that said, let's get down to business:

The best coins that the US Mint produces are proof and mint sets. As most coins and coin sets are exchanged between dealers, I assure you that this set has been in at least one other person's hands and possibly more. All of the "envelopes" or "cases" will show signs of "handling" and "wear." If you are expecting pristine or perfect packaging, you will be disappointed. The coins are what hold the value. The packaging does not.

Please do not anticipate that your proof or mint coins will still be in mint condition. As soon as the metal is struck, it starts to interact with air, light, temperature, atoms in the air, and any micro-contaminants that might be present inside the airtight, hermetically sealed proof/mint sets. The irony is that some of these conditions produce the most "colorful" tone, which has a large market and high premiums. The original airborne contaminants of that air pocket are still present in the airtight packing despite the fact that all proof/mint sets are mint sealed and, in some cases, hermetically packed in flat plastic cellos and cases. Each coin in any proof or mint set will eventually show some evidence of interaction with micro-atom impurities (toning).

Human fingerprints have even been discovered on hermetically sealed mint sets from 1959 to 1964, demonstrating that not all mint staff wore gloves when handling these uncirculated coins for packaging.

I am real, and I am honest in my business dealings (as well as everything else I do in life). If you can appreciate that, then buy my coins, as you will not be disappointed!
