AMERICAN JOURNAL EXAMINER
Buster Brown — Two (2) Postcards (1906)
lithography on card stock, approximately 3.25" x 5.5"

These two (2) vintage color postcards feature art by Richard F. Outcault based on his great Buster Brown comic strip; featured are Buster Brown, Mary Jane and Tige. These were produced in 1906 by the American Journal Examiner newspaper; they were issued by the San Francisco Sunday Examiner and Los Angeles Sunday American as promotional items. One was produced so that a "hidden" picture of a rooster and a goat could be revealed when the card was warmed; those images now show plainly.

These postcards are unused with no writing on the message sides; they show spotting and darkening of the paper; the "hidden" picture card has tears in the right side repaired on the back with a piece of tape; edges have light wear: overall, VERY GOOD condition.

Publisher will be charged $4.00 for shipment via USPS Ground Advantage Mail to an address within the USA. We will combine multiple items purchased into a single shipment for reduced freight cost when possible. Thank you.
