ARTIST: Edvard Ølund-Hansenn (1887-1979) . Well-listed Danish artist, who exhibited at the famous Charlottenborg and whose works have been offered at auctions (f.ex. once at Christie’s) several times. He was a student of another famous Danish artist, Gustav Vermehren and also attended the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. He embarked on several educational trips to f.ex. Germany, Italy, France, Belgium and England. His early works are primarily interiors. Later when he moved to Bornholm, he painted a lot of landscapes from the island, but he also painted scenes from Copenhagen.
