Amritham gives birth to a boy, Chandrabose and a girl, Kasturi. Years roll by, Chandrabose applies for a job and is required to bribe the authorities to secure employment but Senapathi firmly refuses to do so, as a result of which, Chandrabose leaves house. Soon thereafter, Kasturi receives burns in an accidental fire and the doctor refuses to treat her without police certificate. Even police Inspector Rao declines to give this simple certificate without a bribe.
