[Used] FENDER / 1966 Electric XII Sunburst 1965 SPEC [S/N 239731]

The 1966 Fender Electric XII is now in stock.

Fender's 12-string specification model produced from 1965 to 1969.
I think it's still fresh in your memory that it was reprinted with a slight design change around 2019.
It is said that it was not very popular at the time, but now it has been reevaluated and has become a very popular rare model.

At the time this model was developed, other companies' 12-string electric guitars used existing shapes, but Electric XII was newly designed for this model, and it became an important model in Fender's history. I am.
The head in particular is also known as the "hockey stick head" due to its unique shape, giving it a different look from the snakehead Telecaster.

The serial number on the plate of the arrived item is 23971.
The serial number says it was made in 1966, but it is equipped with the double-line Kluson pegs that were used until the middle of 1965, and the patent number on the head decal is the same as the early model: "3,143,028 2,960,900 & PAT.PEND".
The later model has been changed to "3,143,028 2,960,900 3,177,283 & PAT.PEND".
Some parts of the pickup are faded, but it was made in November 1965.

Even if the serial number on the plate is 1966, it may actually be 1965, and the overall specification is 1965, so it will be written as 1965 spec made in 1966. .

The pot and capacitor have been changed, and the inside of the cavity is now in player's condition with conductive paint treatment.

The operating surface is good, and the frets, which appear to be original, have a good height, and the condition is such that it can still be used in active use.
