Hazel is said to make an ideal material for wands as it is an all purpose wood that will suit all kinds of magic although it is renowned for its White Magic properties. 

Hazel was a wide spread symbol of Fertility and was used in Fertility Rites, and later in Love and Marriage ceremonies, Divination and Healing Spells. It was known as the Celtic Tree of Knowledge and it was believed that to eat the nuts of a Hazel Tree is to gain its Wisdom.

For the Rulers of ancient times the Hazel wand was considered a symbol of great Authority and Wisdom. Hazel wands were often found with the buried remains of the noteworthy

'Hazel Wood Wand'

~The 'Waning' Wand~

This delightful Hazel wand measures approx 11 1/4” (28cm ) in length with a thickness of 5/8" (1.7cm) at its widest point. We have retained a section of Bark on this wand to form a delightful Hilt. The Bark has tones of Chocolate Brown with Bronze hues and soft Fawn Flecks. The main body has a soft Cream hue onto which I have pyrographed a Waning Crescent Moon design surrounded by Stars. This wand Has been decorated using the art of Pyrography with a deathly hallows symbol.

This wand will come complete with its own *Handmade* Black Suedette bag and two Spells
