Soft acrylic, hand-laundered with Woolite and color-safe bleach for freshness by me. Really lovely. 

Please see the shelf wear in the photos--it looks like someone put a tag on it in the wrong spot and there are two areas where the tags made, not holes exactly, but separations in the weave. These are near the top of the photo, and in the middle. I did not hand-block it after washing so the edges, which are all intact and none frayed, are not perfectly straight. Otherwise, very good condition, very little fading, fringe all beautiful too.
