Heating plug electronically controlled, pre-heating – start heating – after-heating Type: Sheathed type plug with two filament technology, electronically controlled Use: Engines of the latest generation with electronic heating time control Mode of function: The BERU diesel Instant Start System ISS consists of optimum performance, electronically controlled heating plugs and a control unit with microcontroller. The heating requirement of the engine is adapted by a stored parameter profile. It takes into account load, speed, temperature and fuel flow. ISS enables a spontaneous “combustion engine” key start up to minus 15°. At minus 24° the preheating time is only 2 seconds. Emission of pollutants is minimised. Operating voltage: up to 5 Volts.
