The digital refractometer has the following requirements for the measured gemstone:
1. The tested gemstone must have a plane greater than 3mm
2. The tested gemstone must be wiped clean and free of any oil stains
3. The tested gemstone must not be worn out
If any of the above conditions are not met, the measured refractive index will be low
