BESCHREIBUNG

Typisch französischer Bronzemörser in Becherform. Ausladender Lippenrand umlaufend mit 10 kleinen alternierenden Maskeron bzw. Groteskenköpfe. Fünf profilierte Vertikalripen, zwischen denen oben kleine Rundornamentes platziert sind. Getreppter ausgestellter Fuß. Außen schöne graubraune Patina. Innen poliert.

ABMESSUNGEN

Höhe: 11,5 cm; Durchmesser Lippe: 12,7 cm; Durchmesser Boden: 9,5 cm; Gewicht: 2,6 kg.

ZUSTAND

Guter Zustand mit nur geringen Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Schöne graubraune Patina. Lippe mit einigen Bestoßungen. Außenwandung mit kleinem durchgehenden Bruch an einer Rippe (siehe Fotos), ansonsten sehr dekoratives und ordentliches Exemplar.

DESCRIPTION

Typical French bronze mortar in cup form. Extending lip rim all around with 10 small alternating maskeron or grotesque heads. Five profiled vertical ribs, between which small round ornaments are placed on top. Flared foot with steps. Beautiful grey-brown patina on the outside. Inside polished.

MEASUREMENTS

Height: 11.5 cm; diameter lip: 12.7 cm; diameter base: 9.5 cm; weight: 2.6 kg.

CONDITION

Good condition with only slight signs of age and use. Beautiful grey-brown patina. Lip with some bumps. Outer wall with small continuous break at one rib (see photos), otherwise very decorative and neat example.
