Hello,

This pot was made by Shosen, founder of the Yamasaki kiln. He died in 1990 and was the man responsible for many affordable high quality containers today. The kiln went cold a little over 10 years ago so Yamaaki pots will never be made again. It’s always nice owning a piece of bonsai history.

If there are any chips or issues that are minor I’ll point them out in the pics. If it’s severe I’ll mention it below. All pots may contain some degree of wobble, comes with the territory with old pots.

-not a common style they made ‘plain’ usually these have their coin stamps in addition to this wrinkled distressed the look. I really love to find old rare things. Also, a very very course clay aggregate was used on this one. I like it.
