This one is a 6/8 Backal, besides others from the Backal range which you may know like the famous Backal Tapatia, Exelsa or Selecta. Made by Dorko for the export market, renowned makers of Barber's and hairdressers implements like shears, straight razors, hand & feet care nippers as well as everyday small cutlery sold in nearly all countries worldwide. Other famous brand names were Try me Sir, Dorko, Wug, Modoso, Good Morning, Brahma etc.
You are buying a gorgeous, luxury styled shaver from Backal's upper range. This great shaver and beauty embedded in classic ivory color scales will impress you only when you hold it in your hands.
Stunning 6/8" large blade with rare pointed back, the so called "Spitzruecken" and fully gilded! Full hollow ground 1/1. Fantastic blade geometry and an old school thin ground cutting edge. For your private collection or your daily shaving pleasure.
Best grade carbon steel (not Stainless) has been used to forge this high quality razor at that time in Solingen, out of the early 1950/60s. The razor is in unused condition and is out from new old stock.
