U.S. Model 1892 Krag Bayonet.  Measures 16.25" overall with a blade length of 11.75". The blade is smooth and shows age patina and light wear with scratches. the pommel and guard shows brown smooth scattered patina/rust.  The tang is stamped US on one side and the other side is stamped with the year, 1900.  Excellent working press-stud, Wood grips show some light dings.  The scabbard shows a original blued patina throughout with light etched handmade initials of FNP, has some tape on the back that needs to be removed.  The belt attachment is in good working order and moves from 10-2 which is correct.   These were used on the Krag Rifles during the Spanish American War and the 1890's and was a pre-cursor to the M1903 Rifles and the Model 1905 Bayonets of WW1.   See photos.
