The condition of this book is good with some fading and fraying to the covers and spines. Contents have slight play but mostly holding firm with foxing present.

Overall the book displays well.

An impressive Large 18th - 19th Century Dutch School oil on canvas painting.

A dramatic painting depicting docked ships in a harbour with fisher folk and merchants on the shore.

Condition:

This painting is in need of some restoration. Areas of oil loss can be seen painted over in red, with further considerable water damage to the right side. Over time the canvas has hardened and distorted. Areas of touch up and repair also present of which are most prominent around the background.

Rear panels have play and will require stabilising.

Overall despite the noted imperfections this dramatic painting still displays very well on a wall.
