Description: A miniature pewter hand painted model of the Mad Hatter from Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" made by Hantel Victorian Miniatures (model VM61). Has jointed arms and legs.

The Mad Hatter is a member of the tea party and is sometimes rude to Alice but is very nervous in front of the Queen.

The company was established in Warwick, England in 1973 and specialised in highly detailed pewter miniatures inspired by dolls house pieces. In 1980 they relocated to the North of Scotland.


Identifying Marks / Makers Marks: Marked "HANTEL" on the back.  


Age / date of manufacture:

Hantel Victorian Miniatures were produced from 1973- 2007.

Size: Measures 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) tall.

Condition: In excellent undamaged condition. Comes with the original plastic bag with model number label, Hantel paper leaflet and Hantel tag (this has residue on it from a price sticker which has been removed). Please see the photographs.
