Pockets:

The horizontal front pockets are stitched/tacked shut pretty well and likely are not designed to be used. The diagonal front pockets are open for use. The back pockets are very loosely tacked shut. One is tacked with just 3 stitches still in place. You could easily remove the stitching so that the back pockets could be used.

Color:

Brown with a metallic print. The metallic print is a golden bronze color.
