Description:

A Czech moulded glass charm in the shape of a pig in green glass. This piece has a matt frosted finish. 

These charms were produced in many workshops in the town of Gablonz from 1890 until the 1930's.  

 

Identifying Marks / Makers Marks: Unmarked.
Age / date of manufacture: Late 19th / early 20th Century.
Size: Measures 2cm (just over 3/4") tall and is approximately 1.5cm (9/16") across the base from front to back.
Condition: In fair condition, has small chips to the edges of the right ear and some tiny nibbles from the tip of the left ear and around the left eye socket. Has some tiny nibbles on the edge of the base on the left side. Has some fine crease lines on the surface of the glass. Complete with metal collar and orange glass bead. The metal collar has rusted and has left rust marks on the neck of the pig. No paste eyes.
