■The world's smallest tube overdrive effector with ultra-compact military-reliable vacuum tubes in a compact 9 series case. (According to maxon research, 2008/01) It produces powerful tube sounds with a comfortable feel that is difficult to achieve with digitally processed simulators.

The use of a vacuum tube circuit in the preamplifier produces powerful tube overdrive sounds that take advantage of the OD9's unique mid-high frequency sound character.

The 9V voltage supplied from the AC adapter is boosted to 30V in the internal circuit and supplied to the tube circuit and overdrive circuit. The ample dynamic headroom greatly reduces unintentional distortion, resulting in a stable, high-quality sound at all times.

TBS (True Bypass Switching) with 4PDT mechanical switch allows for complete bypass without any electronic circuitry. This eliminates any sound degradation caused by the switching circuit even during effects.

Heater Inrush Current Control Circuit is included to extend the life of the vacuum tubes.
