Hello,

This is a very old antique Chinese pot; Nakawatari era which makes it around 120-150 years old.

Please note all old pots may have some wobble and some small chips, maybe even some cracks in either the glaze or the body, or both. I’ll always do My best to point them out in the pictures. Specifics about this pot will be mentioned below.

As always please ask questions and specific notes about this pot will be below.

-I picked this pot up feb of 23’ from a family owned 3 gen nursery located about an hour outside of Tokyo. I bought several pots from them, and they’re been showing trees at kokufu for decades as a family. They also told me this pot was used in kokufu several times.

-as a pot it’s in beautiful shape. Has a great ring. Some typical corner crazing but the body is fully intact. Some small foot chips. Killer patina. And the shape is really uncommon too.

-I can see when it was fired some streaks of blue entered the glaze as well. I love that.

-never had one like it. When it sells, please don’t ask me to find another.

Thanks,

Matt Ouwinga
