My grandmother handmade this single-size quilt in the 1930's. The fabric is from assorted-color flour sacks.
It has some age spots and also cotton seed stains because in the 30's they did not have the equipment to remove all the seeds from the cotton. Also the white background has slightly yellowed.
However, it is still a cute reminder of days gone by, using what was available.
