Vintage CRATER LAKE Map National Park Topographic Antique Oregon Relief 1931

This is an Unique ORIGINAL Crater Lake National Park topographic map. This map is printed on it's original thinner card stock. On the reverse side of this sheet is a written description of Crater Lake with photos, a relief map and cross section of the area (See last photo). This sheet measures about 25" x 17-3/4". Please note that even though this map sheet is NOS (New Old Stock) that it has wear. **

- The description on the back of this sheet was written by François E. Matthes, who was a geologist and surveyor who studied the unique, remote areas of the Western United States from 1895 until his death in 1948.

- Like modern day folded brochures and trinkets, I believe that these map sheets were originally distributed and/ or sold to visitors of Crater Lake National Park in the 1930s. I have many of these sheets that were never distributed.

- The map on this sheet shows the original 1911 Crater Lake Nat'l Park topographic survey. On top of this survey in red is the 1931 survey by the BPR (Bureau of Public Works) of the roads in the park prior to road improvements.

- This map would be an awesome item for anyone who loves Crater Lake and would make a great addition to any wall! I would recommend some type of 28" x 20" dual-sided pressed glass flip frame so that both sides could be viewed.

Terms of Sale

If a buyer decides not to keep a purchased item, then the buyer has 30 days after receiving the item to return it in the mail. Also, if a request to cancel an order is made while an item is in transit, then the buyer will need to pay for the return shipping. An order can only be refunded once the undamaged item or items are received by the seller in the return mail. Also, if a customer contacts the Post Office and places a stop order or redirection notice on any package sent by or to the address of this shop, then the order can no longer be refunded.

Shipping Information

Items will be shipped within 1 business day of purchase to a USPS verified address using the USPS First Class Mail or postage means purchased by the buyer or agreed upon with the shop owner. The delivery of an item(s) purchased to an un-verified USPS address will be the responsibility of the buyer.
