Amboyna With Ebony Early Victorian 1840 Writing Slope Box. Very rare materials.


Constructed primarily from amboyna wood, a now near extinct type of wood native to Burma. The fittings are made out of ebony to provide a clean black outline. The material on the writing slope itself and the bottom of the box is green baze.

In extremely fine condition featuring carrying handles on either side. A very rare piece of Victorian history. Displays beautifully.
