Description:  It is an authentic engraved antique map over 175 years old with original hand color outlining as issued. It is from the Petit Atlas des Departements Francais, by A.M. Perrot, as stated in the title block of the map, engraved by Thierry, stated in bottom margin. It was publsihed in Paris, H. Langlois, 1841. Included is a facsimile copy of the title page for authenticity. The map is a single sheet and is not mounted, matted nor framed as shown in the main pic which is photographed against a black background. We have left the binding edge untrimmed for the collector. It is a beautiful and well preserved map that would frame up very nicely.
Size: The map image area between neat lines measures approximately 4 1/4 by 6 inches (11x16cm) on a page measuring 6 1/2 by 8" (16x20cm) page with a wide margin all around for framing as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Very Good to Excellent condition with overall light tonal aging and original hand coloring as issued. There are no obvious defects to mention, overall very clean on a well preseved page, see the pics for more on condition. We have left the binding edge with the string holes untrimmed to preserve the integrity of the page. The pics are of the actual map.
