Kirk Hammett Greeny 1959 Les Paul Standard, Greeny Burst
The story of the Greenie is shrouded in mystery, but I don't think there are many guitars that are as famous as this one. The Greenie is one of the most iconic of the original Les Paul Standards, as unique in its sound as it is in its looks. Previously owned by Peter Green, this guitar was used during his time with Fleetwood Mac and later sold to Gary Moore. Gary used this guitar for 30 years, both as a member of Thin Lizzy and as a solo artist. Currently, the Greenie is owned by Kirk Hammett, and has passed through the hands of three legendary guitarists. Its characteristic sound is that the neck pickup is mounted with opposite magnetic poles, resulting in an opposite-phase sound during switch position mixing.
The Epiphone Kirk Hammett Greeny Les Paul Standard was developed in close collaboration between Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop. This special guitar is inspired by Kirk's legendary original guitar. With the release of this product, players around the world will be able to experience some of Greeny's magic.
