Description: It is an authentic antique steel engraved print on paper over 135 years old. It is from the German Bilder Atlas, considered the most extensive lexicon of natural and scientific images of the 19th century, published in Leipzig by Brockhaus, 1874. It is labeled in German. A facsimile copy of the title page is included. It is being sold as a single sheet from the Atlas, not matted nor framed, as seen in the pic.
Size: The image area measures approximately 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches (22x30cm) on a 10 1/2 by 13" (27x34cm) page with a margin all around as seen in the pic.
Condition: The print is in Very Good to Excellent condition for its age with light tonal ageing, blank on the reverse, printed on strong papaer. Overall, it is very clean with no obvious defects to mention. It is basically as shown, see the large detailed pic for closer inspection of condition. A very nice antique print that would frame up nicely. The pics are of the actual print.
