The RUDOLF JELÍNEK company follows a more than 400-year tradition of distillate production in Valašsko. The first written evidence of the existence of a distillery can be found in the register of the Vizovice manor from 1585, although it refers to a later period (half of the 17th century). At that time, beer waste was burned, later grain was added to it, from which rye was made.

Around the middle of the 18th century, the later so famous slivovice appeared in the production range. From the beginning of the 19th century, thanks to state premiums, the production of slivovice grew in importance. Due to favorable climatic conditions, fruit trees, especially plums, thrive exceptionally well in Vizovice.
