Interesting 4-page Welcome Aboard pamphlet with illustration of the USS Andrew Jackson on the cover page, brief Ship’s History, descriptions of the Organization Departments and the ship’s Vital Statistics printed on verso.
The 22 April 1988 Change of Command pamphlet prints a brief description of the Change of Command Ceremony, Schedule of Events, 5 paragraphs of text by Joseph Conrad titled “Command At Sea”, 2 bios with inset portrait images of Commander William L. Sellers, U.S.N. and Commander Daniel S. Keefe, U.S.N., a Ships History, list of the Officers and Chief Petty Officers names, rear cover illustrated with insignia of the USS Andrew Jackson.
Laid into the pamphlet is the finely printed Invitation
to the Change of Command Ceremony, the Visitors’ Pass, and a single
sheet with a portrait image of Commander William L. Sellers, U.S.N with
his bio printed on the verso.
A very nice circa 1988 color photograph of the USS Andrew Jackson with a rubber stamp insignia of the ship on the verso, photograph paper manufactured by Kodak.
The pamphlets measure 5 ½ x 8 ½ inches, the Invitation and Visitors’ Pass measure 5 ½ x 4 ¼ inches the color photograph measures 8 x 10 inches, they are all in very good to near fine condition, odor free.
