Vintage 1960s Handmade & Painted Face
Middle East India Doll, Veil, 10" On Base
The doll is 9.5 inches and is attached to a round black plastic base. Total height, including base, is 10 inches.
The doll's skirt is a pale blue, sheer material with a wide silver-like colored trim on the entire hem with shimmery threads. Their is a wide silver-like lace belt around the waist. The doll is wearing a white petticoat.
The long veil is a lime green color and has a thin silver-like trim around the entire edge.
The silver-like trim on the veil and skirt has aged but still shimmers under light.
The doll's blouse is short sleeved and has a white, blue, and green pattern.
The doll is accessorized with double bangle bracelets on both arms, a long silver-like metal necklace, silver-like lace trim around the throat, pearl-like earrings, a strand of pearl-like beads on the top of the head, and red/peach ribbon sandals.
The clothing is intact, no holes. The doll's face, arms, legs, and clothing are clean and no rips are seen on the fabric covering the doll's body. The doll is vintage so please note the doll's overall aged look.
The doll's face is delicately hand painted and her finger nails are painted red.
I received the doll in the early 1960s as a gift from someone who had travelled to India. The doll was at one time on display, but for the most part stored in tissue paper.
The doll comes from a pet free, smoke free, and climate controlled environment. Will ship securely.
