However, despite having armored units, the ARVN faced challenges in effectively employing them due to factors such as limited training, inadequate maintenance and logistical support, and the nature of the guerrilla warfare tactics used by the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces. The dense jungle terrain, extensive tunnel networks, and booby traps often neutralized the advantages of the armored units.
