Grading Standard: Official US Navy 1st Generation AKA Original News Photo
Size: 8x10 inches (paper size) with some minor variation.
Other Notes: Nice press photo circa 1968 and was produced for Operation Silver Tower September 16-27, 1968. This item comes with Photo and Biography.

Do not expect perfect photos. Often old photos have small creases and tears around the edges.

Scene Description: Vice Admiral Charles Mills, Royal Navy, will coordinate defense of a convoy consisting of 20 ocean going merchant ships during Silver Tower exercises. As convoy operations progress, minesweepers and mine counter-measure ships from Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, West Germany, the UK and United States will practice clearing minefields. Admiral Mills wears three maritime hats, two NATOs and one as Britain's CinC, Plymouth. NATO posts are Commander Central Sub-Area, Eastern Atlantic, and Commander Plymouth Sub-Area, Channel Command. He was appointed to all three commands in July 1967.
